For all those who've always wanted to learn to use a spinning wheel, here's your chance. Come join Julie Wilson  and enjoy hands on instruction from an experienced spinner and teacher. Students will become acquainted with parts of a spinning wheel, drafting, spinning fiber onto two different spools, plying the two spools and measuring it onto a niddy noddy. Students will take home their finished skein of yarn. 

Materials: Julie will supply all needed supplies, wool fiber and use of Lendrum wheels will be furnished. Students only bring patience. 
  
No prerequisite. 

Instructor will teach: Parts of spinning wheel, drafting fiber, treadling the foot pedals, feeling the tension as wheel pulls in fiber onto the spool, holding pencil roving, drafting with other hand as front hand holds roving, spinning two 1oz balls of fiber onto two separate spools, changing regular flyer to plying flyer, plying two spools of fiber into a two ply yarn, winding the 2 ply yarn onto a Wilson Niddy Noddy, instructions in ‘setting the twist’ to be done at home/hotel!  

Upon completion, you'll be awarded an  “I Spin” necklace diploma
